Norco Range 29 Review
Until last year I hadn’t given much thought to Norcos. They seemed like solid bikes but nothing special. That changed when they released the Norco Range 29. From the first time I looked at the specs for this bike, I knew it was exactly what I wanted: long travel but not too long, slack and low but not extreme, short chainstays, water bottle cage in the frame... all the things I like. In some ways there’s still nothing special about Range 29: the suspension is the same old fou

MRP Ribbon Review
It’s not very often when you can use a component on your bike whose namesake trail you’ve ridden and whose originators you’ve met, but such is my connection with MRP’s Ribbon fork. But that’s not enough to make it a great fork, and now that I’ve ridden a couple hundred miles on it, let’s find out how it stacks up. Configurations I’ve got the 160mm 29er model (which is the longest travel configuration for a 29er) mounted on a 2018 Norco Range. Travel can be adjusted from 120mm

DAKINE Slayer Knee Pad Long Term Review
I have become a knee pad snob. There are just too many bad or disposable pads out there that don’t get the job done season after season. One of the most comfortable knee pads I have ever owned were also the lightest and most breathable. They mostly stayed up when I pedaled and I hardly knew they were there. I rode them exclusively for 3 seasons and I have the scars to prove it. Coincidentally, they offered very little protection, tore easily, and had a shelf life of 1-2 crash

Eric's 2017 Enduro Pro 29 Review
2018 Update! I thought I would come back and update my review of the bike now that I have ridden it for a year and moved onto another bike. Most of my riding impressions remain the same, but in retrospect, and after moving on to an even more long, low and slack 29er (Norco Range 29), the steeper and taller geo of the 2017 holds it back in places, but also makes it more of an all-rounder in other areas. It's still a very capable bike, and in 2018 it's even better with revised

Aaron's 2017 S-Works Enduro 29 Review
Experience on Bike: Climbed approx. 7,000ft and descended over 10,000ft on this bike. Trail conditions such as buff XC singletrack, loose southern freeride lines, technical uphill, fast rocky downhill, jump lines, drops and flow trail. I ride several times a week and prefer it to be on the same bike. Pedaling up to where I descend from, racing Enduro, shuttling DH are all requirements of mine in a bike. Ultimately my needs, experiences and interests pointed me towards the Spe

Brett's Enduro Elite 29 Review
This is my first 29er and my first time reviewing a bike. I chose the Enduro Elite 29/6 Fattie because of the great price point as well as the Elite’s components that I know I am able to work on myself if I have to. The frame is carbon while the rear triangle is alloy, so this does add to the weight but not significantly. My bike is currently weighing in at 32lbs. I have ridden this bike on all types of terrain from Northern Utah to Southern Utah. This bike far surpasses my a

2017 Specialized Stumpjumber 29 FSR Expert Review
I first rode the Stumpy on the Big Mountain Trail at Snowbird. The first thing I noticed was how nimble the bike was. With a chain stay length of 437mm I could easily pick the front tire up to manual over bumps or take drops at very low speeds if needed. The larger wheels also made rock gardens and rough trail a breeze. A Butcher up front and a Slaughter in the rear, both 2.3”, gripped the dry Utah dirt without sacrificing rolling resistance. Maybe not the best tire comb
